The Need

A GP Federation needed to strengthen corporate governance and decision-making arrangements to respond effectively to growing system complexity and stakeholder expectations.

With evolving ICS and PCN requirements, the Federation commissioned At Scale to review governance structures, clarify roles and strengthen board effectiveness to support confident organisational development.

What we did

We worked with the Chief Executive to review governance and board arrangements, define executive and non-executive roles, strengthen financial management and support revisions to Articles of Association to codify improved decision-making.

Outcomes

Revised governance arrangements now provide clear structures, defined responsibilities and more effective decision-making. The Federation is better positioned to fulfil its system role, engage stakeholders and navigate the evolving primary care landscape with confidence and clarity.
