Developing Resilience and At Scale Working at NE England GP Federation

A GP Federation needed support to help member practices build resilience and explore at scale working in response to system requirements and efficiency pressures.

As part of a commissioner-led programme, the Federation commissioned At Scale to support twenty practices to develop collaborative and merger options that strengthened sustainability and improved patient care.

We worked with practices to explore at scale configurations, develop collaborative and merger pathways and coordinate delivery across the federation, aligning clinical expertise and practice engagement into consistent, practical plans.

Practices increased collaboration, driving efficiencies and improving patient care. The Federation now has coordinated plans supporting at scale working, demonstrating how primary care can respond to resilience requirements while maintaining focus on quality and patient outcomes.
